San Miguel High School, a Catholic, Lasallian learning community, empowers youth from underserved families through the integration of Christian values, rigorous academics, and practical work experience, educating the whole student for college, career, and fulfilling life.

San Miguel opened in 2004 to create a learning community where students from families of limited financial means have the opportunity to develop to their full potential.

San Miguel students are from a variety of faith traditions, are accomplished students and workers, and come from families with significant economic need. 

300 students attend. 

The yearly tuition for 2025-2026 is $16,500 but none of our families pay that amount. Why? The Corporate Work Study program supports 37% of the costs of each student's education. Families are responsible for paying a portion of tuition annually, based upon the family's financial situation. Assistance with this family contribution is available. The average amount a family pays is between $64 - $170 monthly for 10 months.

Yes, sports offered include baseball, basketball, cheer, softball, soccer, and volleyball. Clubs and other activities are determined based on student interest and the availability of sponsors. Click here for a list of Athletics, and here for a list of our Clubs.

The Corporate Work Study Program (CWS) is a unique, nationally successful work-study model that provides students in grades 9-12 with real-world job experiences.

Students gain experience and professional contacts in a broad range of industries that enable them to discover their gifts for future careers.

CWS, partnering with Academics, has implemented a 4-year curriculum for students and corporate partners that is focused on building technical skills, business practices, and lifelong learning behaviors.

Yes, as a requirement for admission, all students must be 14 years old and have the necessary documentation to be legally employed in the USA. Students who cannot hold a job cannot remain in the academic program

Students are interviewed and evaluated and their interests and skills are taken into consideration with job placement. Ultimately, the Corporate Work Study program team decides where each student will work each year.

Every student participates in the program and is placed into a team of four, working one day each week with rotating Fridays and attending school for four extended days each week. The academic curriculum is tailored around the students' schedules so no class is missed.

Yes, the school is designed to reflect the dress and atmosphere of a corporate workplace. As such, the students wear a uniform daily. All students will be taught to dress and groom themselves in a manner appropriate for a professional work environment.
