San Miguel’s Corporate Internship Program (CIP)

San Miguel supports workforce development.

• All San Miguel students work one day a week at a real corporate job. The money they earn pays for almost 60% of the cost of their education.
• The real-world professional experience students receive is preparation for future careers.
• San Miguel provides transportation, pre-training tailored to the position, all HR functions, and insurance (worker's comp. and liability).
• The students work under a simple fee-for-service contract.

Corporate Partners pay a flat fee for 10 months of work by a job team of four students who are trained and supported by San Miguel CIP staff.

San Miguel provides daily transportation to and from the worksite; training to students in professional conduct, work ethics, and professional dress and attitude; and works with each CIP Partner to ensure appropriate, acceptable, and productive job performance.
