Dress Code Guidelines for San Miguel High School

What to Wear

  • Long-sleeved dress shirt

  • Tie

  • Dress pants or khakis

  • Belt and socks

  • Shineable shoes

  • Conservative hair styles

Unacceptable

  • Jeans or baggy pants

  • Earrings or facial, body pierings

  • Make-up

  • Facial hair

  • Long sideburns

Dress code infractions may result in student being sent home, clothes provided by the school, detention.

What to Wear

  • Modest, collared blouse, 3/4 or full sleeves

  • Appropriate neckline

  • One earring per ear
  • Conservative make-up

Unacceptable

  • Necklines too low

  • Bare midriffs

  • Multiple earrings or hoope earrings

  • Facial, tongue, or body piercings

  • Black lipstick or nail polish

Unacceptable for all students:

  • Jeans or baggy pants
  • Shorts
  • Facial, tongue, or body piercings
  • Alcohol or drug related images on clothing
  • Revealing clothing
  • Sandals
  • Hoodies
  • Baseball or other caps
